TP-Link USB Wifi Adapter for PC N150 Wireless Network Adapter for Desktop - Nano Size Wifi Dongle Compatible with Windows 10/7/8/8.1/XP/ Mac OS 10.9-10.15 Linux Kernel 2.6.18-4.4.3 (TL-WN725N) 4.3 out of 5 stars 27,222. A plug and play USB adapter, compatible with Linux, macOS and Windows XP to Windows 10 platforms, allowing your host computer to wirelessly communicate with other nearby Bluetooth® v2.0, v2.1 and Bluetooth® v4.1 enabled devices (such as the iPhone and Android devices), providing a low energy connection and high quality data stream.
Here’s a simple topic to talk about. Bringing Bluetooth connectivity to a laptop or PC that doesn’t already sport the feature on-board. Throughout recent years, Bluetooth adapters also meant you had to play around with BlueSoleil, a software for Bluetooth controls in Windows. Sometimes it worked great, and sometimes it didn’t quite pass the test. Now with Windows 8 and now 10, Bluetooth has never been easier. No more BlueSoleil as Windows offers native support for Bluetooth.
The Medialink adapter is the most recent adapter I personally had the time to play with. It comes with a CD with drivers for Windows Vista and higher, but Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, doesn’t require a thing. You simply plug the adapter in, and Windows recognizes it as a Bluetooth adapter and the icon immediately displays in the system tray. Clicking on the icon allows you to add devices or show the devices already connected (within Windows Settings).
Just like a smartphone or tablet, Windows searches for Bluetooth devices nearby that you can connect to the PC. Speakers, headphones/sets, keyboards and more. I tested it using a Logitech Boom speaker, the Voxoa headphones we recently tested and had laying around the office still and a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard. All of which connected flawlessly and began to work without hesitation.
Don’t have Windows 8 or newer? The driver disk and manual/instructions are quite clear and install without any troubles. You will need to do this if you have Windows Vista or 7. The instructions are in English and provide no difficulties in reading them as they walk you through the process.
The adapter is small and doesn’t protrude from the system any further than a typical nano WiFi adapter (ie, TP-Link‘s), making it great for portability without having to remove it every time you pack up.
Bluetooth strength in distance is good, with some attached gadgets functioning up to 100ft away (most devices fall within 20-100ft, with speakers reaching the furthest). Beyond that, there is very little to point out. The adapter is quite simple, plug-n-play ready for Windows 8 and newer and achieves exactly what it sets out to achieve.

Our Conclusion
As I mentioned in the last paragraph, it does exactly what it is made to accomplish. It’s small, sits firmly in the port, doesn’t feel like it is going to fall apart and works from good distances. It’s also affordable, currently as low as $11.99 depending on where you buy it. There is nothing much else to ask for. Given a 9 out of 10.
